About Bella Voce

bella voce choir

Bella Voce Women’s Chorus of Vermont is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 by Artistic Director Dr. Dawn O. Willis. The chorus of 40 auditioned singers, ages 18 to 70+, is based in Essex Junction, Vermont, and performs throughout Vermont, collaborating with local and visiting artists, as well as touring throughout Europe. They have produced five nationally released CDs. Bella Voce performs 2 major concerts in December and May and their smaller chorus, Cantiamo, performs at smaller venues and private functions throughout the year.

Bella Voce is considered Vermont’s premier women’s chorus and its ranks include music educators, choir directors, college students, and women who simply enjoy singing. A large component of Bella Voce’s mission is our outreach to high school and college students. Each year, 3-5 women entering music professions participate in our Mentoring Program. The Conducting Intern, the heart of this program, receives intensive professional experience. Learn more about the choir at our website: http://www.bellavocevt.org
